House of Purpose Travailers Assembly (HOP-TA) began as Zion Travailers Ministries and was officially inaugurated on 5th of April 2003 at Pennisula Water Front Hotel in Victoria Island, Lagos. With a vision to raise a Praying people, by raising altars of prayers in Towns, cities and the nations. We have seen the impact in several nations of Africa, Europe, America and the Caribbean; spreading prayer fire. The ministry has a strong apostolic mandate to Make impact in prayers, intercession, deliverance, spiritual Warfare and strategic praying. These work has seen amazing testimonies of healings, deliverances, fruit of the womb testimonies. Partial paralysis, lumps, and strange growths disappears under this ministry .

House of Purpose, the church arm of the ministry was founded on February 6th, 2011 at Piccadilly suites at Agungi, Lekki. It has a mandate to help people find purpose for their position and possession. It is the arm that is meant to power other arms of the ministry with human, material, and financial resources. However, on Sunday 4th December, 2016 the church and the entire ministry was rebranded into one single name, House of Purpose Travailers Assembly (HOP-TA). Such that it expresses the burden of Prayer, Intercession, purpose discovery, and fulfillment.

Meet Our Leaders

Dr. Seth Akhilele

Dr. Seth Akhilele is the President of the House of Purpose – TA. He has the mandate to raise a praying and purposeful people for societal, national, and global Impact. He has ministered in Europe, the USA. Africa. And the Caribbean. He has a Ph.D. in Organizational Leadership from Regent University, Virginia U.S.A., a Masters of Business Administration (MBA) from Business School, Netherlands, and a B.sc in Microbiology. Bayero University, Kano.

He is the Executive Director Nigeria Prayer Project and the Director of Prayer Academy. Dr. Seth is the Director – General of Purpose Summit Group. The empowerment, and national development arm of House of Purpose -TA. He is the Director-General of J&J Integrated Konsult and Followership Development Institute (FDi), Dr. Seth Akhilele is a published scholar and an author of over twenty books on marriage, spirituality, and the Marketplace. He is a former reviewer and an executive Director on the board of Scholar Chatter Journal; and he is also a reviewer and Editorial Review Board member of Global Business Journal Disciplines (an arm of the Institute of Global Business Research-IGBR).

He resides in Lagos, Nigeria, with his wife, Pastor Josephine Akhilele, and his children, Jessica, and Joshua.

Pastor Josephine Akhilele

Josephine Akhilele is an ordained pastor, a gifted teacher who loves the word and is passionate about teaching the word of God. She strongly believes that the word of God can change a man’s

Life forever. She is burdened and called to encourage the teaching of sound and balanced biblical knowledge in this end time. She has for several years raised funds to support “GIVE A BIBLE” a yearly event that she does to reach out to the world through the word. She also has a special passion for children ministry and is also a children’s teacher. This calling has Sparked off a passion in her to raise Godly children in a generation that is fast losing Godly values. She has a heart for the poor and the less privileged and reaches out to them as the Lord leads. Josephine has served in various Christian leadership capacity such as Prayer Co-Ordinator of the sister’s fellowship FCs (BUK), and was also once a travelling secretary for Fellowship of Christian Students (FCS), Kaduna South. She is currently the director of pastorate, House of Purpose. Josephine is a seasoned banker with several years of extensive experience across most areas of Banking operations.

Josephine holds a B.Sc. in Biochemistry, an MBA in International Business, is a member of the

Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria and is also a fellow of the institute of Strategic and

Human capital development. She is happily married to Dr. Seth Akhilele, President, House of Purpose-TA and they are blessed with two prophetic Children
